If I scanned from the bedroom receiver which was connected to coax 2, I could only connect to one satellite and would have to re-scan to get the other. If you go to the roof and switch the 2 coax connections, I think you problem may be resolved.
None of this has to do with the recent changes by Dish which has caused issues with dome systems from King Dome and KVH. The Dish changes have caused a real problem and it can either be fixed by a software update or (depending upon the model) has rendered your dome useless.
Bill, how recent was this change, and why does it affect the KD and KVH? We have a carry-out, but have not used it since late August. We have the original DISH sat. dishes on our s and b, and they are working fine. These are from around 2000, or maybe 2 years earlier.
