I have the KVH R4SL and a Dish receiver. This worked great until October this year and then it would not acquire satellite signal. When I contacted KVH they told me mine needed a software update and their website provided a list of "authorized" dealers near by. I went to 2 and got two stories, the first said they no longer sold or serviced KVH, "just too much trouble." The second said, "We do it and charge by the hour, 4 hours." I asked, "Have you done any?" Their answer, "Yes, we've done one." I asked if it worked and they replied, "No." I do not know what I'm going to do but it will not include Dish for my MH or my home (4 receivers total). And no KVH. Maybe I'll try "cord cutting."
