Why is this a Dish Network issue? If your satellite dish is bad how can you blame Dish?
Did you read the other posts? It not a bad dish it is the fact that dish made a change last August witch created the problem for alot of people. But when you call customer service to find out why things are not working right they have no idea 3 differt calls three differt ideas. I no longer have dish I went over to Directv and now have no issues.
Yes, this is true. BUT, Direct and Dish do NOT support or have support for mobile systems. Mobile systems are a aftermarket product that captures Dish and Direct signals. So, Dish and Direst have NO RESPONSIBILITY to any type aftermarket reception system. Dish has changed the download systems at least 4 times in the past 15 years. EVERY time that means KVH owners are left to get KVH to offer a download fix. This IS A KVH PROBLEM! Not Dish or Direct. The plain fact is, if you want a Dome on your RV---Direct at 101 is the best way to go for no problems. Granted it is not HD, but if you want Sat and no problems go to Direct and utilize the 101. You CAN download the software updates yourself from KVH with a Laptop, but is tedious and time consuming. That is the reason we no longer offer KVH support. The MINIMUM charge we had a few years ago on KVH software repairs was $375 and up. Your best bet on KVH software if you cannot do it yourself is to find an independent KVH service tech at a FMCA/Good Sam type rally. They charge much less to do the work as they have no real overhead. Also, because Dish and Direct do NOT support mobile systems, NEVER CALL THEM WITH OPERATIONAL LOCK IN PROBLEMS. They have no knowledge and cannot help you. Just a waste of your time and theirs. Always call the Dome maker, nobody else. Doug
