do all black wires go to ground?
on a 06 dodge sprinter chassis 3500 series o7 leisure travel van coach ,serenity freedom II MB engine. a service guy changed the battery, now I found a two wire combo black on one spade hanging loos...

Use a multimeter and check for continuity between that spade connector and the battery negative post. that will tell you if it is a ground wire but where it plugs in to is still a question. It could be a ground wire for an optional piece of equipment that you don't have and the wire just got repositioned out where you can see it during the battery swap.
