Do I really need a toad?

We traveled for 5 years without. Toad. For the most part, we were able to get by using Rv park shuttles and rental cars (enterprise). We also used gps to find oversized parking lots where we could park and enjoy the sites and shop. We just set up a toad and will use it all summer. I have some concern about how it will restrict our maneuverability, especially at fuel stations. As for what to do if the coach brakes down, we call roadside assistance and wait (done once). I would be more concerned about being alone and having to unhook if you get in a tight spot and have to back up.
