Regarding the scratching, on my rig there are several large (approx. 10" wide) slide rollers that travel over the flooring. The rollers over carpet are metal and the ones over the ceramic tile are made from a hard rubber. If you have a similar setup, I would look into changing them all to a rubber material.
Good question about the snap flooring separating, esp. if it is floating over a flexible mat. I would look into an engineered plank flooring that can be glued down. Good luck.
