Absolutely. What else would you do if you had a flat? All your road service companies say they will change a bad tire with *your* inflated spare. Your only other option is to have them either go back to town on your nickel, buy a tire and bring it to you, or tow you into town. Then you can only hope the tire shop has a tire that matches what you already have, or be prepared to wait while they order one.
Can't imagine driving without a spare unless, perhaps, all the tires are the new run- flat type.
not true...some of us don't have ROOM or a PLACE for spare tires & wheels....next time you see a tractor trailer look for the spare....very few have one.
road side assistance will bring you a tire & change the flat....in fact many will NOT mount your spare and they won't mount a steer tire on a drive line or vise versa.
they don't go "back to town" on anyones nickel - they bring the tire needed with them.
