I used to bring enough wood for the first fire from home so we would have fire logs if we got in too late to catch the camp store open...
I was asked one time if I brought in firewood by the ranger and had to burn what I had right away. Of course that was what I was going to do anyway...
SO we finally stopped bringing it in - Like to follow all of the rulles...
I do carry a bag of kindle wood however either purchaes or cut from scraps from home...
We also carry the STRIKE-A-FIRE fire starter made by DIAMOND and also sold under the COLEMAN name... This will start a fire right away whether wet or not... great stuff
