We don't bring firewood. We will bring some fire starter bricks and purchase firewood at the campground. Like the above posts have mentioned, many areas do not allow bringing in firewood due to insects. I don't pack it in the bins because of #1: WEIGHT - added weight costs fuel $. #2 Insects in the bin itself.
