You've heard from those with the big coaches with slides.
I'll give my perspective from the smaller side of life.
1995 Bounder, 32' long, 8' wide, no slides, thermo-pane windows. The heater and dash air have been adequate while driving down the road, from -7°F to +104°F. Yes we crossed southern Colorado on January 2nd one year at -7°F.
If more than 2 of us, we close off the hallway and bedroom.
So if the manufacture suppled enough dash HVAC for the size of the coach and it's working correctly, additional HVAC is not necessary.
