Mine is plugged in all winter and most of the summer. During the winter I turn off the converter and use a Battery Minder to keep the house battery charged. It uses very little power and although I check the water every few weeks I didn't have to add any water all winter. I have a trickle charger on the chassis battery. I keep the batteries charged because it can get very cold here.
