We keep our Class C plugged in all the time with the coach batteries always connected to the stock converter - except in very hot weather. Our coach batteries' specified float voltage range (AGM batteries) is 13.5V to 13.8V, which is a perfect match to our stock converter's nominal output.
The engine battery is continually connected to a BatteryMINDER-Plus multi-stage battery maintainer. Using this approach, the two coach batteries are coming up on 8 years and the over size non-stock Ford engine battery is coming up on at least 6 years.
We run the RV refrig off and on - as overflow to our residence refrigerator.
