We traveled FT fr 7 yrs.....so fridge was always ON (electric or propane)
When we purchased a home it has an RV parking spot with 30A pedestal. 5th wheel has been plugged in ever since. Batteries stay charged (multi-stage converter/charger), fridge is on (lowest setting) and Fantastic Fans are in auto with their t-stats set to start at 85*F (one fan set to blow air in/one fan set to exhaust air out).
Rig is ready to go when we get the urge, use as an 'emergency' housing, or when guests visit (kids love to driveway camp)
