Do You Tow A GM Vehicle 4 Down

2006 HHR 10,000 miles no problems. Neutral, Ignition on, pull #8 fuse.

I towed a Tahoe for a couple of years. No problems at all, it was just a little to heavy so I went with a Jeep Wrangler.

Most of the 4x4 vehicles can be towed. I see lots of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyons being towed. Have also seen a few full size Chevy pickups. As long as it has the neutral in the transfer case it should be towable.

2010 HHR. Love it. Can't tell it's back there.

Tow a 2012 Colorado 4x4. Lite, hook up towbar, push two buttons to shift transfer case to neutral, release parking brake, remove key and go. Steering does not lock when key removed. Do not have to worry about running down battery or pulling fuses

Have towed my HHR, with automatic transmission, close to 40,000 miles so far with no problems. The HHR does have the steering and ignition switch recall and now I just got a notice of another recall for the airbag connector. The recalls are not that big of a deal since they can be taken care of at any GM dealer, even while you are on the road. The book says tow at 65 max but that is more of a CYA than a hard and fast rule. I usually tow at 70 MPH and things are doing well.

We towed a Buick Enclave but recently traded it for a GMC Acadia which I am setting up to tow.

2010 Malibu 6 sp automatic, tows well, ignition on accessory, pull one fuse and place in neutral. Towed for about 25,000 miles now. Bert

I towed a 08 HHR for 6 years. Put a switch on #8 fuse.
This summer will be towing my new MKS toad.

2007 Tahoe LTZ 4x4 tows well. Transfer case in neutral, shift lever in park, plug in the Even Brake, tow bar and go.

Towed an Heritage High Roof, HHR for years. Bought a new one and towed it for years. Now towing a Chevy Equinox LTZ and it tows well. Instead of pulling the fuse, I installed a switch and simply flip the switch and go.....Dennis
