I have seen GM's towed 4 down without modification.. I used to tow a 1992 Chevy Lumina APV with modification (Axle lock) and rather liked doing it that way.
If you wish to know if any given make/model/engine/transmission can bet towed google: REMCO TOWING and click on the STORE link. Enter the vehicle info in the left hand frame (Answer the questions) the main frame is your answer.
