I always turn off the engine when fueling. The thing I'm having to get used to is that our filler for diesel and DEF are mid-way along the coach. So, I have to stick the nose of the coach out a good bit to put the filler inline with the pump. I can see that if a truck doesn't pull up enough, I might not be able to reach my filler area.
Our previous coach the filler was just behind the driver's side front tire (on passenger side too).
We have a 230 gallon tank so fill-ups are farther apart than before. Fueling is by far one of my least favorite things to do. I always pull up after fueling.
