Do you wash your roof?

I wash our fiberglass roof each time we return from an ocean beach location.

Usually just water and a brush to rinse the briny stuff off.

Once per year I use the Pressure Washer to deep clean the surface. Then I apply Formula 303 to the gelcoat just as the Manufacturer instructed.

yes you should wash it at least 1 time a yr.

When I worked as a tow truck dispatcher I mopped and waxed the floor.. Office manager came in , went back out to check the address to be sure she was in the right building.

Today, living in the class A,, I mop a couple times a year.. But I don't wax.

Almost the same as the floor, Spic & Span, Water, Bucket, Car wash brush instead of a mop, garden hose to rinse instead of a 2nd mopping with clear water.

We completely clean, wash & wax twice per year. In between the total washings, DH goes on the roof a few times and does a light wash just to keep the crud down and help with streaks. It really isn't too bad if you do the cleaning on a regular basis. We went a whole year once and swore we would never wait that long again. It made it so much harder to get clean.

We're camping now - it rained last night. Roof is now washed. :B

I have a rubber roof and wash it once a year with an approved cleaner and put down an approved roof treatment. Roof looks great after 9 years and never have any black streaks.;)

I have had the best luck with my fiberglas roof by spraying it down with Simple Green on a quarter of the area of the roof, let it set for about 3-4 minutes and then use a Mr. Clean Mop Eraser over the sprayed area. Hose it down and go on to the next area. Two bottles of Simple Green and two mop erasers do the trick.

Easiest and best way to go. Try it; you'll like it.

I have an employee who used to work in a car wash. He is a whiz with a buffer. Every spring and fall I pay him to wash from top to bottom and wax. 9 years old and sits out in the Florida sun and still looks great.
