does net & cell work if driving in the middle of nowhere?

I disagree, with your statement about Nevada coverage. 395 has great coverage all the way to California, Hwy 95 has moderate coverage, Some spotty areas, but overall acceptable to Las Vegas. Dumont Dunes, about 35 miles out of Baker Ca, in Death Valley area, good coverage, all with Verizon. I have tried most of the wireless services, Verizon is the best.

We still conduct our dispatch business on the road. AT&T is spotty out west. Many times I had to drive 300+ miles after regular business hours to arrive in a friendly AT&T area. We would have been on roam if not. Roam is okay with talking on the phone but there is no data service on roam. So no enternet
We also installed a Wilson cell phone antenna on the M/h to make our reception area larger but alas. I am buying a Verizon phone this week and having the teathering installed. I for see us switching all our phones over next year.

We use a smooth talker booster that boost a 0.5 watt cell phone signal to 3.0 watts. We have gotten service in the middle of Montana in a hole along the Missouri river where no one else could get a signal. Then create a mobile hot spot off the BLACKBERRY Z-10 to power up 5 more of anything you want to run.

And I get to use almost all of the Verizon towers though a cell service reseller at a cheaper price. Get all the same bennies through Page Plus Celluar. And I even get internet. 1,200 Minutes, 3,000 Text/Picture* Messages, 500 MB Data for $29 a month. I up it to the 2GB plan when we are on a extended trip.

I have taken them as far East as Boston, North to the Lake of the Woods in Minnesota, West to the Rockies, and South to the Grand Canyon. There were a few spots where nothing would work. But almost all the time I had Verizon coverage. Sprint would frequently work (not as good as verizon though). AT&T was the worst - OK around most of the large cities but frequently would not work when Verizon and Sprint would.

it's easy. When you are traveling you will have phone service when moving,
Internet too from your data plan.. Except in dead spots . Since you already have a cell carrier , just look at your carriers coverage map to determine
dead spots or zones..

This morning in Manassas,Va---no service---home in central, NC no service and that is Verizon.....Verizon purchased Alltel which worked well both places but not since Verizon took over.

I don't care who you have for your service, there are still places where you will not have good coverage. Coming into Silver City, NM from the north, for about 50 miles, you will not have any Verizon or AT&T coverage until you get about 10 miles away from town. There are a lot of other places that we have run into as we travel that we have lost coverage. Coverage used to be spotty on the Blue Ridge Parkway and some remote areas of the Tennessee mountains. We have an outside antenna on our coach and a router that amplifies the cell phone signals and we still occasionally lose service.
