does net & cell work if driving in the middle of nowhere?

you know like if the passenger is on the laptop searching the net, or talking to people on the cell phone, or texting. while you are driving. are there any set backs with your services for these t...

Our phone service is Verizon, but my wife uses ATT (Cell phone towers) for her I-Pad, she is on 30 day contract only when we travel (Port Orchard, WA. to Lake Havasu City, AZ.) Were connected all the way down with ATT with Verizon there is a few dead areas!
