Dometic or residential refrigerator?
I am seeing a lot of newer coaches with residential style fridges that run on an inverter. I assume that they cannot run on propane. Are these or the Dometic 4-door fridges that run on propane/el...

Many people are scared of Propane "It can go BOOM" (Well yes but well. the joke is you mix propane and air in the right proportions add a spark and you land 2 counties over (KEY WORDS RIGHT PROPORTION) Mix the same amount of gasoline vapor with air in the proper ratio and it's 3 counties over KABOOM!!! and these folks pump their own gasoline!!!)
Sucks to study chemistry.
The RV type absorption fridge has the advantage of only using tiny amounts of battery power when boondocking. (Control and ignition only) V/s 100 watts or more running for the residential (And 500 or more starting).
The disadvantages Used around 300-400 watts when running on A/C (not as efficient) Generally not as much capacity and when it gets super hot out (IE: 100 degrees) the Absorption unit may not cool well enough.
I like my Absorption unit myself and do suggest it.
Best advice is to look at (I'm not saying buy but by all means consider) either a Dometic or Norcold high effiency all elecctr9cc (12/120 volt) these are "Danfoss" class comnpressor units. All the advantages of the residential but where as the residential sucks 100-200 watts.. These babies 30-40
I have a freezer with that technology works great.
How much is 30-40 watts.
A 1141 Light bulb (Common ceiling light) is 18-19 watts so that is a common double ceiling light.
