Using top tier fuel companies (like Exxon/Mobil, Shell etc) has been shown to keep you engine cleaner than discount gas because of the additives. You can buy the off-brand fuels and put the additive in yourself to save money, but it's easier and not that much more to just get everything you need from the pump.
I do run a tank of 93 through the Caddy every time I need to get fuel for the lawn mower. I run 100LL in the Briggs in the snowblower, but the Honda motor on the lawn mower can't handle the lead.
