This is not the case, all class Cs are on a Cut Away Chassis be it Ford Or Chevy. They are a TRUCK Chassis and designed for heavy use.
As for the working life of them, if well maintained they can easily go 300000 miles or more.Many commercial,city,and county agencies use the same cutaway chassis as the Class Cs are built on.
There are a lot of Ex Rentals on the road today that have high mileage, 170000 to 180000 miles, and I have yet to see any one that has encountered any major problems as long as the maintenance is kept up.
The House part and its components will wear out long before the Chassis will.
