I've generally been satisfied with the quality of construction my '98 Coachmen, bearing in mind that it's more towards the entry level of things. The electrical and plumbing and other mechanical systems seem to be properly and neatly installed. (The electrical wiring, in particular, is professionally done compared to some of the horrors I've seen pictured here.) I like the layout, and there seems to be generally reasonable access for maintenance and repair, such that it may have been designed by someone who actually has experience RVing.
On the other hand, the cabinetry is basic/lower end (a lot of fake woodgrain appliques and particle board/thin plywood) and in places the fit and finish of it and other interior trim details is occasionally a bit sloppy. The hardware and faucets and so forth are rather on the cheap side. It clearly is built to a price point, but I think they pinched pennies in appropriate places and avoided doing so where one really shouldn't do so.
I have no idea how much any of that would still apply to a unit built a decade and a half later.
