Well, maybe, maybe not. I bought a used pickup that was full of nasty smoke odor. As a condition of the sale, the dealer spent a day cleaning everything, and "removing" the smell with an ozone generator. It worked for a while, but the smell slowly crept back in. JMHO, but there is no hope for anything that has carpets, upholstery and fabrics one it's been destroyed by a smoker.
You do have to know what you are doing. One day is not enough time to remove odors that have penetrated the soft objects in a house or RV. It was not unusual for it to take 5+ days on some of the structures that I dealt with as a contractor.
One of the coaches we considered was an otherwise nice 2006 Mountain Aire, one owner, well maintained, stored inside. However, PO's DW was a smoker so we told dealer we would not be interested. PO said he ran an ozone generator after every trip for several days. The dealer said they would have Serv Pro do a professional clean and guarenteed us we would smell no smoke when we saw the coach. When we first entered the coach, I could not smell any trace of smoke. However, I asked the salesman to close it up and turn on the AC's and leave it for an hour. We came back and it was obvious the coach had been smoked in. It sat on the dealer's lot for 18 months before it was finally sold.
