Absolutely true. The DPs tend to have higher end interior finishes because the HD chassis can carry the extra weight of solid wood cabinets, ceramic tiles, etc.
However, if you are a DIY guy, there is almost nothing you can do to a DP drivetrain including changing the oil, etc. due to the size and weight of the coach. Not that gassers are light, but most have a Ford V-10 or Chevy 8.1 that most DIYers can work on. Just another point for consideration.
