- jjbyasExplorerHello and thanks for the responses. All underneath is brand new and clean with no damage or missing weights. The GM dealer stated the angles of the driveline are probably the issue. The rv dealer sent the driveline out to be balanced and winnebago will not authorize the GM dealer to perform the repair. If I am right, this is six weeks now and will be next week before they get the driveline back to imstall and test.

Hello, I am curious what they found out. I have a 2014 minnie winnie 25b on the chevy 3500 chassis purchased new. I noticed a vibration that starts around 63 to 64 mph. I took it to chevy who told me the driveline and frame were extended so winnebago is responsible. It has been at the rv dealership for 5 or 6 weeks now and they cannot seem to fix it....... I would appreciate any info. Thank you.
Our Coachman Freelander is still in the garage getting checked out. So far we had the tires balanced and the vibration is still there. Then the drive shaft was checked out and we were told that wasn't the problem. Hopefully we will hear something within the next few days. We are tired of waiting, but what can we do? - j-dExplorer IIAre you able to get under and inspect the driveshaft? Look to see if it's loose at either end, at center bearing(s), and UJoints. Then look for dents or something wrapped around it. Hopefully the shaft is painted, which will keep it cleaner, easier to inspect, and easier to see if a little welded balance weight has fallen off leaving a bare spot.

- tpiExplorerWith the 10 MPH onset look carefully at tire out of round issue.
- dejaroda__ExplorerThanks everyone for your input on the situation we are having with the Freelander. We are taking it in Wednesday to have the tires balanced and we will go from there. Hopefully it will fix the problem.:)
- ronfishermanModeratorA 2010 model motorhome with less than 1,800. I would think it has tire problems. Easy to get the tires balanced before I would worry about drive shaft. Next thing I would look at is flat spots on tires from setting in same spot.
Drive shaft are normally balanced 1 section at a time. - dejaroda__Explorer

was the motorhome ever towed. if the tow co. removed the rear shaft, he might have put it back together wrong.
The motorhome was never towed as far as we know. It was purchased as a new motorhome, but had over 700 miles on it when we took possession of it. - midnightsadieExplorer IIstart looking some place else, front tires balance, the drive shaft is 99% not your problem, being towed was a good though.

Sounds good it should be easy to duplicate and repair at that level. Warranty-yep let them deal with it. The alternatives are too expensive even with 100 mile drive.
Maybe runout or driveline angle if it is in the driveshaft. I have never felt driveline vibration at 10 MPH due to out of balance though.
FWIW do 30' units use the stock Ford driveshaft? Or is it some kind of stretched chassis with a custom driveshaft?
It is a stretched chassis!
