Have not driven the RV on Sand but have on everything from packed dirt to Gravel to Pavement to Concrete.. and growing up on the farm drove Farm equipment and cars on Sand as well.
Basic good driving practice applies. No sudden acceleration is the key in this case. Be gentel on the pedal. If the drive is steep enough this may be important but remember he drives his car up and down it every time he drives. so the odds are you can your RV.
Note: the sand I drove farm gear and cars on... Well I don't know how deep it was but the only thing that ever had an issue with it was a bicycle. we walked those across the sand and got back on when it was back to packed dirt.
Only other surface I've ever had to take extra precautions on was black ice. Got me twice first time no damage, no tow needed, 2nd time not so lucky no damage but did need a tow to get out of ditch, Missed the oncoming school bus.
