I saw an awning on a coach belonging to a camp host who had his awning tied down for long term parking. I was watching out the window when a dust devil came along and blew his awning over the top of his coach. The wind jerked the awning up broke the ties down straps and broke off both awning arms. He had tied down his manual awning for years and had never before had a problem. He had a mess this time.
