eletrical problems

The question was, "My air conditoner over head lights is not working." Is it just the lights, or is it the lights and the air conditioner?

Question are you on shore power
Or generator power?

All over head lighting quit
Or just some of it

Our 96 Safari, has 120vac lighting in kitchen and dining and incandescent wall sconces which used to have 60w light bulbs in them,
Two 40w fluorescent tubes for the kitchen work area

Center line ceiling lights are 12vdc

The 120v lighting is all on the inverter output circuit

If you are on generator ... reset both circuit breakers on the generator

Lights inside a Motor home are normally 12 volt DC devices, I need to ask what else is not working.. Suspect list includes slides and water pump, the fridge and water heater and furnace and fans.. All use 12 volt either for operational power or control power.. Likewise if the air conditioners have remote thermostats (by remote I mean wall mounted OR wireless remote controls) then they use 12 volts for control as well.

Everything not working is 12 volts.

Suspect#1: Your battery disconnect (Salesman) Switch..
Suspect #2: Dead house battery
Suspet #3: Dead or disconnected converter (This can be due to a tripped breaker or in a very few RV's tripped GFCI)
and if only SOME of your 12 volt stuff has failed....

Suspect #1 blown fuse #2 bad junction connection or wire.

He has no 12 volts.. His 120 volt outlets are working, Do you wish to re-think?

Then look for DC voltage at the thermostat

when mine was doing it was was a 5amp fuse on a selnoid over by where my shore power hooks up took me 3 wks to find...

Try your GFCs and see if one tripped. Use a test light and check your outlets.
