Yes and some times I have to manually hold the release catch open to move the slide.

I know there is a second latch to release as the slide moves forward but, the slide is not moving at all. Looking under the slide, I can see that the release rod is moving as I pull forward but it appears that there may be a catch that is not releasing. Has anyone had this issue?
