Ellipse/Tour-Generator slide not releasing to extend-HELP!

I am unable to extend the generator slide on our new to us 2011 Itasca Ellipse 42QD. I've pulled the release handle forward-it moves about 1" but nothing on the slide releases. I know there is a sec...

OK, found the problem. The tray apparently needs to be lubricated as it takes way too much force to pull open. Will apply grease/lubricant to the rollers and slides and see what happens.
