I think the Ford spark plug problem was about year 1999.
I have had both, I like driving the Ford better but it does not matter as much as the floor plan to me. If I were buying again I would probably prefer the Ford if the floor plans and money were the same.

I don't think they ever put an 8.1 in a P32 chassis. Could be wrong, but if so, it couldn't have been for more than one year.
As for the autopark you mention, yes, one might be better off without, but I've found with a little education, it's not such a bad system. Works on a similar principle to the DP's except the later one's have self contained systems and use hydraulic fluid opposed to air.
Also the larger W24 chassis never had the infamous brake recall and even with the lighter chassis, it was taken care of or should have been by now with it's owners.
