I have the first generation of the PLX Devices Kiwi sending data to my iPhone or iPad via the DashCommand app.
It's handy to watch MPG histograms and fuel-dump rates. I can adjust my driving to save $$$ on gasoline. I'm not saying this is or is not the best solution, but it works for me. :)
