Engine Quits When Brakes Applied

Sounds like dead short from brake lights to ground..or alternator...try this...take out brake light bulbs....try again, if it dies, then it is alternator short when brake switch closes...what about other electrics...headlights?...wipers?...if they are OK, I'd take out the brake light bulbs and try again...if you go OK, then start putting back brake light bulbs until it happens, then there's the short....also remember to disconnect center stop light too....I don't envy you and I wish I could be there to help you...Chasing down electrics like this could be a real b****
