I also had a bad coil pack on a 5.4L V8 work van, 2002 E-250 with about 180,000 miles on it. A week later, the same coil pack started misfiring, and I took it in to find it was the same one that failed twice, and found a leaking coolant line spraying onto the coil pack.
I can not understand why you might have water in the intake system. That might have been the source of the "Bad Fuel" and water into the intake system. Yet I don't know where the water came from. Was it coolant? Could it have been rain?
Some intake systems are letting in to much rain water, it should not be letting in any rain.
So what I realy don't understand - you DROVE into the Ford dealer with a "Bad" engine? I wonder how that works? You have me really courious now.
I would probably be the type to buy a used engine at a junkyard from a wrecked truck, and put that into your motorhome, finding a company that might install it for a much more reasonable labor charge.
You might even price a new "Crate" motor from another Ford dealership, to see what a replacement engine for a F-250 pickup of your model year might cost.
