Entegra?

I plan on purchasing a DP within the next year. My budget is $150,000. My thought is to look for the best used coach I can get for my money of the top manufacturers. Newmar, Foretravel, Tifin. I parked next to a couple with an Integra, this past week. I didn't look to much, but seemed to be a well made coach. The owners loved it. Would an Entegra be in the same class as the others I mentioned?

  • Foretravel is in a top tier above the others you listed. Newmar and Entegra fall into a category below that but above the crowd. The hung wall and heavy cap and wall insulation is in my opinion superior to the laminated wall and minimum / no insulation in the caps of tiffin and Winnebago. I would put winny and tiffin together in the same level and imo after seeing most build tours slightly lower than Newmar or Entegra Others would disagree of course.
Entegra has a lot of models and good used resale prices make them a good buy , side radiators , Agua hot ,lots of other pluses !! Go to the Entegra forum .. I don't think anybody is "dumping" them but many are trading their aspire for a anthem / cornerstone move up. Seems to be a large base of buyers that have the ability $$$$$$$ to trade annualy or every few years I believe 150 grand will buy a very nice late model 5-6 year old model .. not so much on the Foretravel way to expensive. Unless you go 10 years + out
Newmar and Entegra are on our short list for replacement of our current coach.
  • Funny...I had a 09 HR Endeavor SKQ when we got our 2016 Entegra...I can honestly say that Thor has let Entegra be and that their customer service is over the top as it has always known to be....and many Entegra people seem to like to trade up..many people have gone up from Aspire to Anthem and Anthem to Cornerstone....A used Entegra would not scare me and I strongly suggest you consider them.
  • Opinions vary. We looked at used Entegra's also they seemed fine but there seemed to be too many out there on the used market. Almost as if people were buying them and unloading them for some reason. Also didn't like that they were owned by Thor/Jayco. Because we were buying used also we included Monaco pre-recession in the mix and ended up with a pretty decent HR. Good luck...

I wouldn't agree with that. Here is a 2011 Entegra Aspire w/tag for $159,900. That was just a quick search, I'm sure a little more looking would find some more.

T & N are not in the same league as Foretravel. With Thor buying Entegra it will not be in the league of Foretravel long term even IF it is now...do not know enough about them to comment.

  • Entegra is regarded as a great quality coach. Entegra came about from the old Travel Supreme brand. They, like Newmar, use hung wall construction as opposed to laminate. If it's not laminated it can't delaminate.
