Entry door swings out too far

Hi Folks
I have a 2016 Jayco Alante 26X
My entry door swings out and hits my awning arm and has caused the awning to get out of adjustment.
I replaced the gas prop 20" 20#.
Did not fix problem....tried a 17" 35# prop and that didnt allow the door to open far enough. Cant find a 19 or 18 inch prop. Don't think they make them.
Anyway.....any tips to stop door crashing into awning arms?
Thank you

I've seen some use a rubber bumper.
    X-2, and it's a inexpensive fix
  • I attached a piece of 1" nylon webbing to mine,it dosen't jam up when closing
  • I just checked my catalog and AP Products makes Suspa Gas Shocks and have 13, 19" models. All of them have a 7.87" stroke and the P1 Force is from 13 to 180 lbs.

Mine has a rubber bumper about 3 ins long on the side wall to prevent this.
