  • I actually like the RV style entry door. Sliding doors can get loud sometimes, especially during a quiet night. Unlike automotive locks, I can close a RV door with almost absolute silence.
  • It appears that the downside is the same as it is in the LTV Free Spirit, which was the first to use a full slide like this in a B for the US market. (GWV had earlier, but smaller slides on standard Ford and Dodge vans) The slide has to be out to use the bed which does kill one's ability to be stealthy. The bed in this Promaster looks even narrower... but that may be an illusion from the angle.

I think that design would be a big hit here in the states.

Slideouts on Ducatos common in Australia. Trakka here makes a rear slide for a Class B+
  • Lots of weight they've add to this van.

The big open sliding door is a positive in my mind, not a negative that needs to be removed.

I guess if you are big-time cook, this layout may appeal to you. I like a bit of counter space, but this is just too much space dedicated to kitchen.
  • The slide is not new in a B in that Winnebago and Leisure Travel Vans does it with a similar plan on Sprinters. New on a Promaster/Ducato? The really new thing is someone has removed the massive sliding door, done an infill and added a normal swinging door to a B van. That hasn't been done recently with slider door designs. I wonder too with a rear full bath if they didn't also remove the rear doors and build an infill? Forest River MB Cruiser did that with the early Sprinters.
  • Absolutely awesome! I have been searching for a Class B for the last year, awaiting for something new and meeting my needs. This does for sure. Beautiful engineering and finish. Now, where can I get one in the US. ;)
