I have a 50amp system but the RV park we are at only has 30amp power. It's just when I plug the power cord back into the coach that the A'C's, TV's microwave etc won't work. Crazy thing is water pump, lights etc still work?
By "plug power cord back into coach" that you do NOT have an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) and that you must manually plug the shore power cord into a 50 amp outlet powered by the generator.
If that is the case, you can ignore any reference to an ATS which is far more common than the manual "move the shore power cord from source to source".
If you are safe working around 120 VAC, use a voltmeter and check power at the outlet powered by the generator:
Assuming it is 50 amp:
Either outer straight to either center round or center straight= 120 VAC
Center round to center straight= 0 VAC
If it does not test as above we are back to diagnostics mentioned above:
Have you turned off and back on the on-generator breakers?
If so and no power to the outlet, you will next check the connection between generator wiring and coach wiring.
AS YOU CAN TELL, THE MORE YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SYSTEM THE BETTER THE ANSWERS.
