So I had my Brother in Law come by who is an electrician. He checked the outlet where I plug my 50amp cord into in the rear storage cabinet to see if the generator was making the 240v that is needed to run the stuff in my motorhome that needs the generator power to run. We started the Generator and then he hooked his meter up to the outlet and his meter read zero. He told me that the generator was not producing any power to the outlet. So we tried to dig into it a little more but the generator was having issues running. Back firing, sputtering etc. We never could measure any output voltage from the generator anywhere so I'm keeping my appt for tuesday to have it looked at. Hoping my Genrac Generator is not toast. I don't want to spend $5k on a new Onan 5500. This could end up being a very expensive week for me. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's something more simple than what we are finding..
