Several years ago we removed a J-couch on the drivers side and replaced it with a leather double recliner (LazyBoy wall hugger). The recliner has a metal frame and bolts to the floor the same as the old J couch. Also installed seat belts (JC Whitney)and my wife rides with her feet up. One of our best modifications.
