Experience with damage to the under carriage

Hi all, on our way home from a great 4 days at Georgia Veterans we blew a rear tire. The guy the club sent to change the tire damaged the underside of our motorhome. He really crushed the storage compartment where the water control valves are located and per the guys at Camping World there is possible damage underneath that might cause the floor to buckle in the future.

For such problems - where do we take it. It has been reported to Roadside Assist and they will page for the repairs. But I am concerned about problems down the road and the best place for such work. Any experience with such problems?

  • Nope, the technician at Camping world showed DH the indentation of the jack. Plus we have flaps on the rear tires to prevent that problem.
  • Is it possible that the blown tire caused the damage? A thrown tread can really tear up the underside of the rig. I can't believe that a roadside assistance guy would not know to place the jack under the axle or on the frame.
  • It seems he misplaced the jack - twice. Claims have been filed -we're just trying the find the best place to make repairs. Not like taking the car in to the body shop.
  • How did he damage your rig. Did he just shove the jack under the storage compartment?
