If it was mine: I would take advantage of that black screwed-on trim strip and loosen a 2-3 ft strip of that. that will let you see how the metal is formed and repair the damage using pliers, screwdrivers and moderately intense profanity. The lower floor piece looks like it tucks up under the vertical wall. once you've straightened the bent sheet metal, you might want to pump a little polyurethane sealer (walmart/lowes/HD) behind the strip (just because) and re-attach the trim strip. Maybe use a little black enamel paint to touch-up the screw heads and good as new.
