Exterior of slide out floor is bulging.

Today while walking around the outside of my Fleetwood Fiesta I noticed that the floor of one of my slideouts is sagging and the seam is coming apart.

What could cause this? What should I be worried about? And how can I fix it?

Water got in ours, awhile back, swelling and rusting things.
After a little studying, I carefully cut away the vinyl covering on three side and letting it hang, while I cut everything out and replaced what was bad. Used some wood and angle iron for patching and making it strong and readjusted the slide itself. There may be some foam insulation in there, like mine and what you're seeing. By the time I was done, there was mostly wood in it's place on the forward outside corner. Once satisfied, I re-glued the vinyl covering. Not perfect, but looks OK and not like it's sticking out there, in plain view.
