Exterior window lock...

I just repaired my entry door catch on my class A. Was a warn bushing which was no problem but it got me thinking about what woul happen if the door lock/catch failed and I could not open the door.

I know people will leave a window unlocked but I wonder if there is a better solution? Is there some type of window lock available that you can unlock from the outside with a key? I have sliding windows.
