I noticed in your pics that there is no insulation around your pipes. As long as you're at it you should probably insulate. Especially where the pipes near the outer walls. I know little about insulation being fro SoCal but plenty on the forum do.
I agree. It still needs a lot of insulation. We're not leaving NY for Ga until sometime in December or later so it'll freeze here too if I don't winterize it properly.
