Fall came early to Maine
60s and 40s the past week or two. 30s two nights. MH seems to be leaning a little south. Two more weeks and I'll be southbound.

Mammoth Mountain This AM- Moving wood to the pile near the window that unloads to the fireplace, whew! I normally bring up a cord and that does it till we are done with our winter burns. I do love our tri-level and the fireplace, my overstuffed chair and a hot cup of tea................. oh and a book.
- We're here in Northern Vermont....Broke out the little ceramic cube heater and ran the electric fireplace for a couple of nights. Headed south Oct 6th.
- Cold snaps at night are common here in southern Maine in mid- September but no worries it levels off now through Columbus Day weekend. Some of my favorite camping is now through Columbus Day weekend - love the fairs and 70 degree days with no humidity!
- Beautiful fall weather all week here in Cape Cod Ma. Woke up to rain this morning.
- Yes it's Fall. All the way down to 79 degrees at 4:30 this morning here in Furnace Creek. Prediction for tomorrow's daytime temps are not quite 100 degrees.
Earlier than usual... I don't think so. Seems about right to me.
Time to get a sweater out. :) - Hard rain last night and this morning. Afternoon started seeing fleeting clouds scurrying from the northwest to southeast. Temperature is 60 degrees, which is not that cold but it will be in low fifties by am. In a month 50s will be the high here and everyone will want summer back.
