The issue using MaXXair brackets on a non-MaXX installation is that the attaching points of the MaXX brackets needs to match the spacing of the mounting slots on the Ultra Breeze.
Oh, WAIT! It's coming back to me. MaXXair II does not use mounting slots. Part of the mounting is formed into the plastic cover and the rest is formed into the aluminum bracket.
That swap won't work, not without a lot of adaptation.
