Stopping every 250 miles would drive me nuts - partially because any sane person is not going to run the tank totally empty before they fill up, especially if you are running the generator for house AC. Basically you are going to start looking for a fuel station when you hit about 1/3rd of a tank left. Since fuel prices are so volatile, one typically wants to be careful when and where they buy fuel. While mileage may not be a huge concern, there is no reason to through money away either. That would have a similar range as my Jeep, which drives me nuts, even when I'm not on a trip.
