fill up mania

In our 2013 Itasca Reyo (T), we averaged 15.1 mpg over the first 10k miles. On our Alaska trip, where speed limits are mostly 55 to 60 mph, we've been doing 16-17 mpg. We never let the tank get below 1/4 and usually refill at half, especially on this trip where gas stations can be few and far between. A tank of DEF lasts about 4k miles before the refill light goes on.

I like having enough fuel on board when on the road I can jump past the states with high fuel prices and stop at the ones with better prices to fill-up.. Also when you get in desolate parts of the northwest or other areas that extra fuel is pretty reassuring...

Expect about 16 mpg, 350 mile practical range. About the same as my E-450, 8 mpg on 55 gallon tank that needs refill at 35-40 to keep. genset running. Better than my Fit getting 36 mpg on 10 gallon tank I fill between 8 and 9 on trips, or daughter's Odyssey getting 20 mpg and hitting "empty" like at 16 gallons used.

Not quite as much range as larger motorhomes getting 6-8 mpg on 75 to 100 gallon tanks, on those few compact cars and crossover SUVs with 30 mpg 4 cyl engines, equipped with fuel tanks to feed the hungrier V-6 they used to have.

To my knowledge there is not a option from the factory.any one who buys a ont ton is going to be pulling something. Stopping every 250-300 Mi fo fuel . Probably pulling a 35-40'+
Fiver or trailer. Like my 100 gal in the MH. Don't have to start looking for fuel
Till 500 - 600 Mi.

Stopping every 250 miles would drive me nuts - partially because any sane person is not going to run the tank totally empty before they fill up, especially if you are running the generator for house AC. Basically you are going to start looking for a fuel station when you hit about 1/3rd of a tank left. Since fuel prices are so volatile, one typically wants to be careful when and where they buy fuel. While mileage may not be a huge concern, there is no reason to through money away either. That would have a similar range as my Jeep, which drives me nuts, even when I'm not on a trip.

I've got a thousand mile range and would hate to give that up. When I stretch my legs, I don't want to do it at a fueling station. I used to do that. No more.

We noticed that also. Seems anything built on the MB/Sprinter format has that fuel tank. Also the genny is LP.
