You choose your pump carefully.. If the station has say 10 pumps I will be using either 1 or 10.. Not 2 through 9 This way I can turn in such a way that the tail swing is AWAY from the pump.
OR,in some cases it is straight ahead, No swing at all... But stations like that are rare
